| Pilot Bay Lighthouse is the only lighthouse found in the interior of British Columbia. It was put in operation on January 1, 1905. The last of the Kootenay Lake paddlewheelers, the S.S. Moyie pulled into Kaslo in 1957.The Coast Guard officially turned out the light on June 30, 1993. This photo shows my Buddipole antenna on top of a painters pole lashed to the upper railing of the light during it's first "activation". |
