| Operating Station GN0LIX during the annual International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend (ILLW) event in August. Two stations normally active on HF using a Yagi beam antenna and a vertical HF or wire dipole antenna. VHF/UHF used for talk-in or immediate local communications. Stations operating with 100W output for the duration of the event: 0001 UTC Friday TO 2359 UTC Sunday. Chaine Memorial Tower is situated in Larne Harbour, Co. Antrim beside a busy ferry terminal which services vehicle ferries across the Irish Sea. |
